Berner Oberland, Switzerland

I took the following pictures in and around the village of Gimmelwald, high in the Swiss Alps. If you've seen the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", many of the scenes were filmed on the same mountain, the Schilthorn.

These are the lakes that give the town of "Interlaken" its name.

Krakow

Jewish Cemetery- the wall consists of tombstones that the Germans crushed under their tanks.

Wawel Cathedral, which looks like the it was built from left-over parts from hundreds of other cathedrals.

Adam Mickiewitz monument in the Market Square- I know next to nothing about this Polish poet, but there seem to be more statues in Poland honoring him than Chopin.

Chambord

Chambord is probably one of the most impressive castles in the world from the outside. Apart from an interesting double-helix staircase in the center, however, the interior is surprisingly bare.
